You can delete your Book of Life account and the data tied to it at any time. There are two paths, depending on how much you want gone.
Delete a single entry
From inside the app, open the entry, tap the more menu, and choose delete. The entry and the names extracted from it are removed immediately, and any connections in your graph re-balance.
Delete your whole account and everything attached
Email genstupiditystudios@gmail.com from the address tied to your account. Your account, all entries, all extracted entities, and your push notification token will be removed within 30 days. We'll confirm by email once it's done.
What gets removed
The account itself (Clerk), every journal entry, every entity drawn from those entries (people, places, themes, emotions), the push token if you registered one, and any saved preferences.
What may briefly persist
Standard infrastructure backups at our hosting provider may take up to 30 days to roll over. Logs (IP, user agent) for abuse prevention age out on a shorter schedule and are not tied to your account after deletion.
What we keep
Nothing identifiable. We do not retain anonymized copies of your entries for training or analytics.
If you’ve lost access to your account email
Email us from a different address and tell us which Book of Life account to delete (the email it was registered under, or any detail that lets us verify it's yours). We may ask a follow-up question or two to confirm you're the account holder.
